- Moderate acne: This type of acne is more severe than mild acne and may include a larger number of white and blackheads and more inflamed pimples.
- Severe acne: This is the most severe type of acne and can include a large number of pimples, as well as nodules and cysts. Severe acne can be painful and can cause scarring.
- Acne vulgaris: This is considered the most common type of acne and can be mild, moderate, or severe. The presence of blackheads, whiteheads, and pimples typically characterizes it.
- Acne rosacea: This is a chronic skin condition that causes swelling and redness on the face, which can also cause acne-like symptoms.
- Acne conglobata: This is a rare and severe form of acne characterized by large, interconnected nodules and cysts. This type of acne is more common in men as compared to women.
